What is ASMR? A feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound. "ASMR is triggered by things like whispering voices, paper tearing, and scalp massage" (Source).
ASMR is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson. ASMR has rapidly become very popular. There are dozens of videos with more than a million views, and multiple channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers. The main subreddit dedicated to it, r/ASMR, has more than 130,000 subscribers. The New York Times, Washington Post, and BuzzFeed have covered it.
VIBES Lifestyle is all about art, inspired living, creativity and beauty... This is why I was inspired to create ASMR videos. They captivate a mindful moment of being fully present, listening, watching and relaxing. It's so important to slow down and pause. The stillness and serenity of ASMR can evoke a wonderful sense of inner peace. The sounds create an internal massage, and the visuals sweep you away to a place of soft tenderness, where you can feel safe and taken care of.
Sometimes doing an activity can be stressful or draining, however, observing someone else completing a task can be very satisfying. You can sit back, unwind and allow the worries to fade away. Having your mind on a constant loop perpetuates the reality that you are currently living in, so this is also a way to shift your mindset. By focusing on beauty, mindfulness and serene details, it can minimize all the mental humdrum that seems to be never ending.
"Essence Of A Rose" takes us on a journey of a rose, as we meet these roses after they have endured a lifetime. They were once seeds, then they grew up. They had thorns, they had petals, they were vibrant, alive, and beautiful! They began to wilt, they were hung upside down, dried out, and stored over time. Now they are tattered, broken, withered, beautiful!
View the video to see the "Essence Of A Rose", and to understand why all aspects of life are beautiful, even the broken + tattered ones. Stay Inspired!
